Baptism
Attendance at one baptismal preparation session is required before Baptism can be scheduled. Preparation may begin any time during pregnancy.
Choosing a Godparent(s) for your child is an important duty for parents. Godparents are entrusted with the responsibility (along with parents) of raising the child in the Catholic faith; passing on the heritage of our faith. Choose Godparent(s) who will be a real and long-lasting help in the Catholic-Christian formation of your child. At least one Godparent should be over the age of 16, Confirmed in the Catholic faith and currently practicing their faith, including weekly mass attendance. Others must be baptized in a Christian faith.

First Reconciliation/First Eucharist

Involvement in a parish Religious Education program, a Home-Study program or attendance in a Catholic school serves as experience. Preparations for these sacraments usually begins during 2nd grade.

Our purpose is to clarify the roles of key people in the Confirmation preparation process. To that end the five sessions below have been created.
Please note:
- Each session has a short video (<10 minutes), review of key points, and a series of discussion questions.
- Once you start a session, plan on 15-30 minutes to complete it. If you stop in the middle of a session and then try to resume, it will restart from the beginning of that session.
- It is preferable that the Candidate, Parent and Sponsor use a single device to view the videos. There is a maximum number of people who can share the link at one time. If you run into problems accessing the link, please contact me and I can send you a new link.Diane.Lewis@archbalt.org
