Fondest Memories: As an Altar Server in 1941, 1st Communion from Fr. Wolfe, Our Wedding in Chapel, Richard Cassiley singing O Holy Night, Holy Name Society in Old Abingdon Fire Hall; Dunking booth at Fairs; Pitch parties; Stine’s teaching Square Dancing; Mother’s pew, 4th on left, went to Aunt Margaret Callahan’s for Baltimore Catechism lessons; Wedding to Bob was first in church after designation as a Parish ;  Married by Fr. Strempak, who had to pick the date; When Worship Center was built & first Homily there; Religious education group had baby shower for Fran in Fr. Wolfe’s rectory probably only one ever, unusual piece of furniture in his den where he kept his spiritual Matter—a liquor cabinet;  Impressed by warmth and friendliness of Parish Community, they welcomed us as a newly married couple. Mr. Kilduff greeted everybody as members of his parish family, feeling continues; 1972, Fr. Wolfe paid cash for Kilduff Hall $250,000 a lot for the time; 12th night concert with each member of all music groups present,  “Wood of the Cradle” done in Stone Chapel to a packed house; On 9/11 Fr. Mike opened Stone Chapel for staff and parishioners to come for haven, sharing anxieties & faith; Easter vigil culminates all done all year by music ministry members, so many different alleluias;  Working with 1st Communion classes and the Senior group; My mother Delia Cassilly donated white marble Mary Statute now in Stone Chapel; When choir sang “Mother at Your Feet is Kneeling”; Summer picnics, home cooked dinners; Seder meal, Luau, Confirmation, grandson’s baptism, KC bullroast at Richlein Ballroom, 12th night concert, youth programs with dynamic leaders; Facilitating the faith journey of people in RCIA thru major celebrations, moving Education Center from Kilduff Hall to new building– what a gift!!
