Dear Friends:
The story from the Gospel of Mark 4:35-41 today is a strong message from Jesus for all of us to have trust in him. Jesus and the Apostles are crossing the sea when an unexpected storm comes up. Jesus is in the front of the boat sound asleep on a cushion. As the storm worsens the Apostles start to get worried and wake Jesus up crying out to him “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” (MK 4: 38b) Jesus gets up, calms the sea and the wind and admonishes his followers for not having enough faith. The message for all of us of course is: if we have faith in Jesus he will take care of us no matter what happens. The solution offered to us may not always be exactly what we think it should be but with time and discernment it will become evident that God was with us during our trials. Let us all pray that we will be able to trust in Jesus to get us through life!
May God bless you and may you know that he is always with you.
Peace and All Good!
