Information about the Knights of Columbus Ladies organization:
About Us
You
may have noticed the K of C Ladies at a variety of church events. We support the Knights in many of their activities, but
we also thrive as our own group, providing support to our Church, our Youth, and our Community. The Ladies assist the parish
in many ways such as helping out at Church events, helping at the picnic, and providing hospitality for visitors and other
events:
- We regularly provide monetary assistance to the Religious Education
program here at St. Francis. Our Ladies also make and distribute cards to our children making their First Communion and our
young adults making their Confirmation, serve ice cream for our young religious education students at the end of the year,
etc.
- We continually look to assist our St. Vincent de Paul society, and
each year we provide Thanksgiving and Christmas food and gifts, in addition to monetary assistance.
- We fully support the Youth of St. Francis de Sales. Recently, a portion
of the proceeds of one of our fundraisers helped to send several young adults to the National Catholic Youth Conference.
- In the county, we support Birthright with monetary donations and
also baby supplies for mothers in crisis.
- Internationally we support the “Smile Train” which provides
free cleft surgery for millions of poor children in developing countries, and we support St. Francis de Sales’ sister
parish in Haiti.

Our Fundraising Events
Our
ability to assist others depends on your support for our fundraisers! Please mark your calendars for our scheduled fundraisers
for this fraternal year (July 2010 through June 2011) and look for details in the weekly Church bulletin:
- Charity Dinner Bingo: October 1, 2010 in Kilduff
Hall Dinner begins at 6 p.m. with Bingo following
- Bake Sale at the SFDS Craft Bazaar: November
20 to 21, 2010 in Kilduff Hall Enjoy homemade baked goodies of all kinds: cakes, cookies, breads, etc.
- Beer and Wine Tasting and Silent Auction in Kilduff
Hall: June 18, 2011. Check the bulletin for details or call the SFDS office.

Interested in Becoming a Member?
We
have many other service and social events and best of all we have fun doing them. We welcome any Catholic woman of St. Francis
de Sales Church who is 18 years and older to join our group. New ideas and helping hands are always welcome!
We meet on the third Monday of each month at 8 p.m. in the Knights
Hall. We invite you to come to our next meeting! If you would like more information, please contact the President of the Ladies
