Dear Visitor:
Thank you for visiting the Social Action area of the St. Francis de
Sales website. You will find many of the ministries we embrace through the links on the right. Our St. Vincent
de Paul Society served approximately 3,000 families with over $50,000 in funding for utility bills as well as hundreds of
bags of emergency food last year. The Let’s Do Lunch program served over 700 lunches to folks who would have nothing
to eat on a Sunday afternoon. Our efforts at the homeless shelter helped to provide over 10,000 bed nights for those who would
be sleeping in the woods or on a park bench. The Sharing Table ministry serves hot, nutritious lunches every ten weeks. Our
Daily Bread collects over 120 casseroles once a month to be delivered to downtown Baltimore in an effort to feed those outside
of our area. Our sister parish in Haiti has been provided with Internet service, a new building, storm relief and countless
educational opportunities that would not have been available without the generosity and efforts of our parishioners. The yearly
blood drive gives the gift of life. Over the years we have helped thousands of people with health problems working in conjunction
with the American Red Cross.
Together our volunteers have made a difference in this world. They
have donated their time and energy to alleviate the pain of many who are marginalized in Harford County and beyond. It is
my sincere hope that among these many ministries one will stand out as right for you. You can contact me at 410-676-5119 ext.
136 with questions concerning our ministries and how you can help.
Peace and All Good,
Deacon Jim Sullivan
